The Squier Classic Vibe '60s Jazzmaster, a faithful recreation of the iconic Fender model that shaped surf rock and alternative music. This beauty delivers the unmistakable Jazzmaster tone from its dual Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups, complemented by upgraded components for superior performance. The slim, fast maple neck and 9.5" laurel fingerboard provide a familiar feel for players of all styles.

Flawless Fender-Designed Pickups

The Classic Vibe '60s Jazzmaster is built around dual Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups that produce the bright, articulate tone that defined surf and garage rock. The bridge pickup delivers a punchy, percussive attack, while the neck pickup produces a warm, rounded tone perfect for rhythm playing.

Vintage Specs, Modern Playability

This Jazzmaster replica boasts vintage-accurate specs including the iconic offset body, tortoiseshell pickguard and floating tremolo bridge. Upgrades like the slim, fast-playing C neck profile, narrow-tall frets and bone nut provide exceptional performance and intonation for today's musician.

Versatile Tonal Options

The Classic Vibe '60s Jazzmaster offers a variety of tonal variations through its rhythm and lead circuits. The lead circuit provides tones ranging from bright and cutting to full and rounded. The rhythm circuit activates the neck pickup only for a darker, jazzier tone perfect for chordal accompaniment.

Road-Ready and Retro-Styled

With your choice of 3-Color Sunburst, Olympic white or Sonic Blue finish, mint pickguard and nickel-plated hardware, the Classic Vibe 60s Jazzmaster evokes the styling of classic 1960s Fender models. It comes ready to hit the stage or studio straight out of the box with .009–.042 nickel-plated steel strings installed.

Great value in a fun and serviceable guitar

Within a few minutes of delivery this Squier CV Jazzmaster was up and running. I changed the strings to 11 gauge, adjusted the truss rod and the bridge height and started playing. The edition I received had a Mustang style bridge which, maybe, earlier editions did not. Fretwork is very good and the neck shape with its smaller, vintage frets make playing the guitar a breeze. Once of my deciding factors on this version of the Jazzmaster was the fret size. Not a fan of jumbo frets which appear on other versions of Squier and Fender Jazzmasters. I'm may swap this guitar for another of the same model since it is impossible to remove the plastic, protective coating on the tailpiece. Assuming they're not all like that!

Returned, plays great but poorly put together

I like the sound and they way it plays. I especially loved the look but it was a let down quality wise. Basically the fretboard was scuffed and there were scratches all over the thin plastic covering. String also broke within me playing it for 5 minutes. I personally felt like the guitar wasn't worth keeping after what I'd been through. But someone will probably happily take the guitar I cleaned, restringed, and took apart to remove the ugly packing plastic that had been scuffed up so bad.

My son saved up for this guitar but it sells out fast. It was on backorder everywhere. We went in the store and the kid just wanted to try out some guitars in case he didnt get this one. David Johnson found 2 left in their warehouse, bought it. Needed very little setup and well made.

  • I love it

I've been using this guitar to relearn to play after taking a ten year break. It has an excellent tone, it's light enough to be comfortable, it's versatile, well built, and obviously very pretty. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a new guitar. Impaired it with an Orange Crush 20 and the tone I'm getting is smooth, with just enough aggression.

  • Decent enough but.....

the finish on the guitar is remarkably good, the pickups function perfection and the neck feels solid and smooth. the biggest downside is definitely the fret buzz on the lower parts of the neck. its incredibly annoying and to make it sound decent, requires a lot more pressure to push down. however as a beginner guitar its solid purchase, vets and more experienced players might wanna look for something.

My friend got a Jackson for around 300 dollars at this guitarcenter and got a free amp (Mustang LT25). I was wondering if there were deals like that for this guitar because I want to be able to get both but it doesnt fit into my budget.

I ordered this Jazzmaster $ 459and am thinking of returning it since I read reviews of the small e string popping out from strumming. Likely to happen on this model I ordered ?

Despite the stock P90s, is the body internally compatible with humbuckers through a replacement pickguard?

Yes. It's hollowed out, similar to a Strat.
