I got it about a week ago, an employee pointed it out when I mentioned I wanted to get a bass. It plays really nice, I love the color, and it sounds great too! There's a little bit of fret buzz but I'm like... 90% sure that's from my own playing.
Great Bass

I had bought the black version of this last year and loved it, so I bought the walnut one also last week as a spare. Same right out of the box quality and set up. It's just stupid to spend more on a bass when you can get this quality at a low price. The only thing I wasn't happy about was the color. Much darker than shown and has a tint of red.

I ordered this bass because of its low price, thinking it would need an intensive setup and all that. Like most basses I pick up in the store, I figured it would have a ton of fret buzz and all that. I literally did a slight raise of the action and this thing sounded amazing right out of the box. No fret buzz, excellent low tone and middle tone. Sounds better than a lot of other higher-dollar basses I've tried out recently. Strongly recommended.

I like everything about it, but the neck I Keep trying to straightened it out but it its too thin to support the string tension. I ordered a new neck from fender to replace this neck. A made in Mexico 70s precision neck which looks identical, but is structurally more sound.

Do the pickups on this bass provide a clean signal or is there some distortion?
They are very clean especially for the price point. You may run into distortion if you crank the volume on the bass itself, but you can negate that by rolling off the volume on the bass itself and using the volume on the amp.submitted5 years ago
