    I was disappointed that the rubber head didn't even make a sound on bells. You felt the percussive jolt when you hit a bar, instead of a light, resonant sound.

    The brass (hard) and white plastic (medium) bell mallets with maple handles are very reasonably priced, well balanced and sound great on orchestral bells. I'm going to order the black (soft) mallets.
