This is one great guitar for the price ....
I have been playing for over 40 yrs. and this Guitar fills my every need . I play Old Country , Old time Rock and Roll, and Country Gospel. This Guitar fits the bill for me . I have many high-end Guitars over the yrs. . Naturally this little gem isn't close to a High-end Gibson's,Taylor's,or Martin's, but it's not bad for the price and being a Takamine the humidity levels on them is 40% to 60% so it allow you room not to have to keep rooms at Museum Levels humidity wise .. Very pretty Guitar and designs .

High E string issues
I bought this guitar to back up my Takamine 12-string when I play on stage, but like the 12-string, I'm going to have to put money into it to fix issues it came with from the factory, which is frustrating because you shouldn't have to on a guitar in this price category. The high E-string is located about a millimeter away from the edge of the neck and the frets are so over-sanded that the string falls off the neck every time it is pressed, basically making it a 5-string guitar. Other than that, it is extremely well made, and plays like an electric guitar; very easy to play, with a sound like a Martin, very strong midrange. I'm going to try to have it fixed, but after paying a luthier for a full fret job with new bone nut, relocating the high E-string...I might have been better off spending more money for the Martin, or a Taylor. Next time, I will just get the better guitar.

Not as bright of a red in some of the pictures. It's a deep wine color. Beautiful!

This guitar came very close to a perfect set up. Truss rod needed slight adjustment. Tuning machines are nice. Great sound. Came with fairly heavy strings but the action is good. The preamp has problems though, straight out of the factory. If you push on the equalizer levers, sound through the speakers cut in and out. This already needs repair. Except for the lack of thorough QA, it's otherwise a very nice guitar for the money. Great fit and finish.
Wonderful guitar for the money.

I needed a 6-string that could keep up with my Takemine 12 string. After much research, I decided to try Takemine again. This is a beautiful guitar and we'll set up, right from the factory. All that was needed was a very slight truss rod adjustment. It rings and rings. It comes with moderately heavy strings, so if you lighten them up, the truss rod will need tweaking. Honestly, this guitar plays as well as a much more expensive guitar.
Very comfortable guitar.
