I bought one for my daughter's Baby Taylor, then for my own new GS Mini. I'm playing a right handed guitar upside down as a lefty, so the strap works better tied around the neck. I bought a nice leather lace for that.

The material is amazing and feels great. I had a difficult time installing it on the guitar as the holes that it comes with are a bit small. Which I think is a good thing. I just cut into them to extend the holes a bit. The quality is much better than I expected. Highly recommend this strap to anyone.
Worth it, even if ideally it shouldn't be required

Yeah, this is probably just a way for Taylor to get more of your money (because if you've ever owned one and want to put a strap on it, you know the input jack/strap button is notoriously close to the body)...regular strap ends are often simply too thick to get around the input jack securely...However, I can tell you that this strap does in fact solve that problem because it's a touch thinner, and fits around the input jack with far less hassle and provides much more trust...also, since you can't really tell from the photo (I chose black), the little plastic adjusters are tortoise shell, so the strap is not completely mono-chromatic if that's something you care about (it's no big deal to me). Finally, it's a regular length strap (not shorter), even though it's labeled as "GS Mini Strap." So, all in all, even though it was a cost that I didn't initially plan on having, it was well worth it to have a strap you know won't fail...
Worthwhile specifically for Taylors

If you've ever played a Taylor with a strap, you know the input jack/strap button is really close to body of the instrument. Much closer than in other guitars. Thus, most "standard" size strap ends are a hair too thick to fit over it fully and in a way that you'd trust...when I bought my Taylor, this was my lone complaint. This strap solves that problem because the end is *just* thin enough that with a lot less cajoling, so it fits fully and securely over the input jack. The ends of the strap are leather and thus a bit squeaky, but that dissipates with use...also, aesthetically, while the strap is black, the plastic mechanisms that lengthen/shorten it are tortoise shell in color, not black, which isn't exactly clear from the photo; if you prefer it to be fully mono-chromatic, you're out of luck...but it's not that dramatic looking...Also (even though I was probably overthinking it), the strap is a regular length even though it's promoted as being a "GS Mini Strap." Not that I assumed it was smaller, I'm just saying, I wondered for a second if it was marketed that way because it's shorter in length, but it's not; it can fit any guitar...Lastly, while I would guess perhaps this is just another way for Taylor to try and get you to buy their branded product/accessories, I'm writing this review to say, even if that's the case, for me, this strap does fit more securely on the input jack end of my Taylor, so that's why I use it; it resolved my issue.
