Way Beyond My Expectations
I have a beautiful Taylor that I love and I hated the idea of sticking an ugly rubber plug in it to help with feedback trouble. Thank God I found this product! The quality is WAY beyond what I was expecting and it resolved my feedback problems instantly. What makes it even better is that is doesn't close off the sondhole all the way. And what really surprsed me is that my guitar still sounds great with it installed even when I'm not plugged in!!! I thought I'd have to pull it out every time I wanted to play acoustically. I just leave it in full time. Love it, it's worth every penny.

broke the first time I tried to use it
The rubber gasket thing tore when I was putting it into the sound hole of my guitar. I can still sort of use it, but I was hoping for a snugger fit (because the gasket is torn, it is loose)

This is a beautiful piece. it's also well made. The only negative thing I can say is that it doesn't fit! The manufacture didn't take into account the fretboard. The top notch is not deep enough. If you like a wall decor piece, I recommend buying it!
Works great for soundhole controls

All you have to do to use this with soundhole controls is trim some of the foam, dime the volume control and go. I have a QSC monitor in front of me and NO feedback at all.

Bought this because I had problems with feedback last time I played through a PA system at church. Played with it today under the same conditions and had no problems. Plus had several compliments on its looks.
Great Product Great Price Enhances the Look of My Taylor

I bought this to enhance the look of my Taylor Academy 12e. It more than meets my greatest expectations. I bought the heavy feedback control in maple because of the looks. It does decrease the volume of the guitar slightly but to my surprise it enhances the tone . I rarely use my guitar plugged into my amplifier so I can't comment on feedback control. I ordered it from Guitar Center on a Tuesday and picked it up on Saturday. It arrived with excellent packaging and installation instructions. Mine came with the foam rubber extending outside the perimeter of the cover which required the use of some blunt instrument to push the foam rubber into the hole. I used the blunt end of a nail clipper. After I got it installed I thought a better tool would have been a thin guitar pick. Believe me this was no big deal and was probably designed this way so it fits snug without scratching your guitar. Lute Hole is a great company. I emailed them and they promptly answered my question. Taylor Guitars like them as well because this is part of a response I got from Taylor when I contacted them, "We really like and recommend Lute Hole soundhole covers." Lute Hole has a great web site where I was surprised to find out what musicians are using them. http://lutehole.com

I was looking to see if the guitar hole cover has something behind the design carving to cover the hole completely or is the openings from the carvings left open. I can't tell based off the pictures alone. I want it to have the designs and still cover the hole completely
The guitar hole cover doesn't completely cover the sound hole. The openings from the carvings are left open.
