Thomastik Dominant 4/4 Size Violin Strings 4/4 Set, Steel E String, Ball End

Description
The Thomastik Dominant 4/4 Size Violin Strings provide a tone that is as full and mellow as it is rich in overtones. Thanks to their highly flexible nylon cores and carbon steel E string, these violin strings deliver a radiant, projecting tone in both arco and pizzicato passages that is unparalleled in responsiveness. Whether rehearsing intricately fingered pieces or performing under hot stage lights, Dominant violin strings remain stable and in tune. For violinists seeking premium tone and playability, Dominant strings are the only choice.
Multi-Strand Nylon Cores Emulate Gut
The A, D and G strings feature multi-strand nylon cores that provide the warmth, complexity and sensitivity of gut strings without the tuning instability. These innovative cores are highly flexible, allowing the strings to vibrate freely for a broad range of overtones and a tone quality comparable to the finest gut strings.
Carbon Steel E String Offers Solid Construction
The E string is crafted from solid carbon steel for a crisp, clear tone with outstanding projection. Available with or without an outer winding, the E string's solid yet lightweight construction complements the vibrant tone of the nylon core strings for balanced, resonant sound across all four strings.
Consistent Tone Over Time
To ensure optimal tone and playability over their lifespan, Dominant violin strings should be changed regularly according to the intervals recommended by Thomastik. Fresh strings will continue to produce the radiant, nuanced tone that Dominant strings are renowned for, allowing violinists to achieve a consistent sound quality and experience over multiple performances and recording sessions.
Premium Construction for Premium Tone
Handmade in Austria using only the finest materials, Dominant violin strings demonstrate Thomastik's commitment to quality and innovation. For violinists seeking a premium string set to match the quality of their instrument, Dominant strings provide rich tone, responsive feel and tuning stability for an unparalleled playing experience.

You always tune a violins A string first. So that means to me it's most important to get that one correct. Can't do that if you don't put a good quality A string on to start with. It's easier to tune the other strings to where they should be if you start off on the right string.
