This drum isn't bad for the price. It's got a good bass. The exterior print isn't great. As someone else mentioned, the interior (paint?) is all peeling off and I just got the drum. I'll likely repaint the outside because I'm not a fan of the design.

ordered the nine inch drum red drum, and I'm very satisfied since it is my first djembe. It has a decent size despite the nine inches and it comes with a great sound right out of the box, the bass tones are full of depth, and the open has a dry but great sound. A great beginner's djembe.

these djembes are incredible. I love playing drums and experimenting, so i decided to add one of these little things to my DW drumset. They add wonderful flavor to any kind of music, and i have had a wonderful experience with these. I actually purchased Zildjian double sided drum sticks, that have a mallet on one side, and drum sticks on the other side. I play this Djembe with the mallet side, and it has a nice warm resonance (ring) and just gives some nice warm undertones. This can be used live in churches and cofeehouses, which is where my percussion player plays this. He likes to set it up with his Latin percussion section, and he gives this baby a few rings every now and then. This is a wonderful Djembe, and I think that its a great little toy that anyone could have fun with.

As a facilitator of drum circles, I must praise Toca and their hand drum djembes for their ease of playing and resonant sounds-my clients have instant success and confidence on Toca drums. I have quite a number of Toca drums, congas and djembes. They are affordable, durable and made for group rhythmic expression. Bravo!
