American Hickory 7A Drumsticks Regular Wood

Description
The Vater American hickory 7A drum sticks nylon are high-performance drum sticks designed for acoustic, electronic and auxiliary percussion kits. Constructed from dense, shock-absorbent hickory wood, these 16-3/4" sticks feature a small nylon acorn tip for crisp cymbal articulation and reduced rebound. The slightly longer length provides extra reach and leverage for powerful strikes. The dense, straight-grained wood is resistant to chips and breaks, reducing hand fatigue during extended playing sessions. Hickory's superior strength and shock absorption properties minimize vibration and maximize tone. These durable yet lightweight sticks are built to withstand the demands of daily practice and performance.

The Best
I have been playing for 30 years and have been a sometimes touring and recording drummer for 20+ years. These are consistently the best sticks and they are the only brand and model that I use. Manhattan's rock. They are light and well balanced, and are slightly longer than some. Super versatile. You can play super touchy or rock them hard, although if you break sticks these may not be the best for you. Wood tip and nylon each have their own slightly different sound, which is good for mixing it up. Buy them by the case. My only fear is that they stop making them. They are like an extension of my hands at this point.

Decent sticks. Really no complaints, I have been on an unsuccessful quest for a new great stick for a few years now. D'addario buying out ProMark was a dark day in drumming. Why they would turn from PMs technique and wood source is just perplexing.

My son usually uses 5Bs but is starting to experiment more with jazz and wanted some lighter sticks to try.
