I personally love these drumsticks. Although there isn't a big difference between these sticks and 5A's, you definitely feel the added length. Overall, pretty good pair.

Good most of the time
I've been using these sticks for about a year and have never had a problem with them. But with this pair, I used them for about five minutes and the nylon tip broke off. I understand this can happen but also, come on Vic Firth, y'all are better than that. It just makes me mad when I spend over $15 on a pair of sticks to have it break in five minutes.

Started to notice some pain in my joints while using a different brand and Chad at OKC Guitar Center showed me these sticks (Extreme 5B) and that have not only stopped the pain but control is easier with paradiddles and movement across the kit! Glad he showed me these and definitely worth the purchase!

I'm a classically train jazz musician that now plays complicated metal (think Ghost), and these sticks have Great handling qualities plus they hold up for multiple shows where other sticks I've used only last one.

I had originally tried the NE-1 and they were great but they were just a half inch short. Then I tried the X55A and they were too top heavy. The Extreme 5A's are exactly what I was looking for in both length and diameter. I do wish they made an extreme barrel tip line.

I'm a big fan of X5As for most of my playing, very versatile and tend to last pretty long. I appreciate the extra length on the stick for reaching the bell on larger rides. I love 8Ds for quieter settings and use anti vibes for electronic kits, but for everything else, these are my go to
