Washburn EA15 Festival Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar Iced Tea Burst

Description
The Washburn EA15 Festival Series acoustic-electric guitar brings over 25 years of proven performance to players who demand comfort, clarity and stage-ready tone. A standout in the Festival lineup—made famous as the go-to acoustic-electric on MTV's "Unplugged"—this mini jumbo cutaway delivers a balanced, intimate voice with sparkling highs and warm low end. Featuring a flamed maple top, catalpa back and sides, and quartersawn scalloped Sitka spruce bracing, the EA15 is designed to resonate with rich character. Equipped with Barcus Berry electronics, a built-in tuner and player-friendly hardware, it's equally at home in the studio, on stage or in your living room.
Flamed Maple Top and Mini Jumbo Design for Rich, Articulate Tone
The EA15 features a flamed maple top paired with catalpa back and sides, giving it a lively, articulate voice that cuts through the mix without losing warmth. Its mini jumbo body shape strikes the ideal balance between projection and comfort, making it perfect for smaller players or those who find dreadnoughts cumbersome. The cutaway design ensures easy access to the upper frets, while quartersawn scalloped Sitka spruce bracing optimizes resonance and sustain. Whether strummed or fingerpicked, the EA15 delivers crystalline highs and a focused low end that works across a range of playing styles.
Comfortable Mahogany Neck Delivers Smooth Playability
Built for comfort and stability, the EA15's mahogany neck features a 25.5" scale length and a 1-11/16" Graph Tech NuBone nut for consistent intonation and clear note definition. The engineered wood fingerboard hosts 20 frets with simple dot inlays, offering a familiar, uncluttered playing surface. A two-way truss rod allows for precise neck adjustments, ensuring the guitar plays as smoothly years from now as it does today. Combined with the mini jumbo body, the neck's comfortable profile makes extended playing sessions feel effortless, whether you're rehearsing, recording or performing live.
Stage-Ready Barcus Berry Electronics
The EA15 comes loaded with Barcus Berry's EQ4T electronics—offering a preamp, undersaddle pickup and a feature set designed for live performance. Players can fine-tune their amplified tone using bass, mid, treble, notch and presence controls, while the onboard tuner ensures you're always pitch perfect. Barcus Berry's legacy as the inventor of the piezo crystal transducer means you can count on reliable, natural-sounding amplification with excellent feedback resistance. Just plug in, dial in your sound and you're ready for any stage or venue.
Premium Washburn Hardware and Thoughtful Design Details
From its faux-abalone rosette to its chrome die-cast tuners, the EA15 blends visual appeal with performance reliability. The engineered wood bridge maintains stability while transferring vibration efficiently to the top for improved resonance. Chrome hardware resists tarnish, ensuring the guitar continues to look sharp even after years of use. Every detail—from the cutaway body to the durable finishes—reinforces Washburn's reputation for making stage-ready guitars that perform night after night without compromise.
A Time-Tested Mini Jumbo for Stage and Studio
With its comfortable body, articulate tonewoods, reliable electronics and stage-ready build, the Washburn EA15 Festival Series acoustic-electric guitar is an excellent choice for gigging musicians, home players and anyone seeking a performance-oriented acoustic-electric. Love this guitar!
I came in looking to get a Seagull S6 for about twice the price and while looking around saw this baby. I thought it's a Washburn and a good price so I picked it up and loved it from the first strum. It sounds great and is very fun to play. I love the look and feel. It is perfect for me and I keep finding myself wanting to pick it up and play it. Great guitar and a great price!

I recently visited my local GC "just lookin'l. I wasn't looking for anything in particular. I saw this Washburn hanging on the wall and thought I'd give it a try. I was, and still am, very pleased with the looks, feel and sound, especially in the lower range. All this for under $200? Yes please.
I would buy this product again.
