Inspired by the hot-rodded guitars coming from Southern California builders in the 1980s, Yamaha's Pacifica series has always offered major value in great-sounding, incredibly playable guitars. The PAC611 hardtail adds a new spin to the mix with a Seymour Duncan SP90 in the neck and a coil-splittable SP-14 Custom 5 Trembucker in the bridge position for an exception range of tones and a unique look. Additional premium features include locking Grover tuners and Graph Tech nut, and StringSaver saddles for stable tuning and richer tone.

Got mine in fall 2021. Set up out of the box was right on. Low action, no fret buzz, fret edges on sides of neck were nice and smooth. Guitar plays and sounds great with or without overdrive/distortion pedals. Big and rich sound out of P90 neck pickup. Bridge humbucker has plenty of punch. Love the tuning stability of the hardtail bridge. Fit and finish A-1. The only small thing is, I wish the tone/coil split knob had a little more drag when you turn it, but it works fine. I would rate this guitar equal to or better than my Highway One Strat. If you're thinking about getting a Player Series Strat, check out a 611 or 612 Pacifica first. Everything from Jimi Hendrix to Judas Priest, this guitar rips! Rock On!

  • Very good feeling neck. I love the way it plays.

The neck feels great and I can get some unique tones out of it with the pick up configuration.

Loaded with upgrades at this price level you my have missed in the description. Seymore Duncan P90 in the neck and humbucker with coil splitting in the bridge, Graphtech nut, bridge saddles and string trees and locking Groover tuners. Made in Indonesia but I found nary a finish or fit fault. First noticed this guitar in a you tube video of a Japanese professional musician/instructor? showing a bunch of kids how to play a song called " go go maniac" I believe. She plays great and got tons of tones out of this guitar. I had to have one even though I couldn't get my hands on one to play it first as few stores carry much in Yamaha electrics (three GC near me and none had one in store). Still ordered it and was and still am very happy with it. Plays a lot like my strat but with obvious tonal differences because of the P90 and humbucker. Watch the video I mentioned or any other you can find on this guitar and I think you will at least be impressed and probably get one yourself.

  • My go too.

Bought a purple one during my lunch break on a spur of the moment decision. It was my first electric, I didnt know what I was doing I just liked the way it looked, but let me tell you..it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I have since added a Les Paul, PRS, and Strat to my collection, but I keep running back to her. Would def by again and recommend to anyone from a beginner to a seasoned guitarist. Beautiful sound, awesome pick ups, smooth fret board, versatile and durable. You can hear and feel the quality as soon as you play it. and the best part...the price. This guitar can def sell for more. For the quality its a steal. Buy it!

  • I would by this product again!

I bought this guitar used and it's a beast. Much better than my mim strat! Simply no comparison. The neck and the electronics make it more fun to play. I can't believe they don't cost twice as much.
