Yamaha Revstar Element RSE20 Chambered Electric Guitar Black

Description
The Yamaha Revstar Element RSE20 chambered electric guitar brings a redefined style and attitude to the iconic Revstar series. This sleek double-cutaway axe pairs a lightweight, resonant chambered mahogany body with dual Alnico V humbuckers for powerful, nuanced tones with rich midrange punch. You will love the RSE20's high-pass "Dry" switch, which articulates highs and tightens lows without reducing volume or adding hum. Whether you're looking to cut through a dense mix or achieve vintage-voiced clarity, the Revstar Element RSE20 delivers.
Chambered Mahogany Body Reduces Weight, Boosts Sustain
The RSE20's chambered mahogany body was developed using Yamaha's proprietary Acoustic Resonance Enhancement technology, resulting in enhanced tone, improved balance and significantly reduced weight. Strategically placed sound chambers allow the guitar to resonate freely, producing outstanding sustain and acoustic-like warmth.
Dual Humbuckers Produce Powerful, Versatile Tones
The RSE20 is loaded with two custom-voiced Yamaha Alnico V humbucking pickups that generate a wide range of tones from vintage cleans to high-gain leads. The neck pickup delivers smooth, rounded lows and sweet, vocal-like highs, while the bridge pickup provides tighter bass, stronger mids and singing treble response.
High-Pass "Dry" Switch Adds Clarity and Definition
Yamaha's innovative push-pull "Dry" switch is built into the RSE20's tone knob, allowing players to instantly tighten lows and boost highs for increased note definition and articulation without sacrificing output level or introducing hum. Engage the "Dry" switch to cut through dense mixes or achieve single-coil-like clarity with the touch of a knob.
Modern Style Meets Classic Cool
The RSE20's double-cutaway silhouette, metallic finishes and black hardware epitomize modern rock style. A fast-playing maple neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and medium-jumbo frets provide a comfortable feel and facilitate intricate lead work.

I like playing blues and country rock and this Yamaha can accommodate both. It is very versatile and has very good sound and action for the price. I bought 2 so I always have another for someone else to play.I have no regrets.
Love this Revstar and am hoping to get the RSS20 as a result

After pulling several guitars off the wall at a local Sam Ash this RSE20 captured my attention. It blew all others in its price range away. The frets were polished and shiny with no buzz up and down the neck. The tone was nice and warm and embodies all styles of music. I play mostly blues and it fits the bill there as well. Because this model is so well made I will consider the higher end models. Thanks Yamaha for hitting it out of the park. Great Instrument for beginner and experienced player.

This is a very nice guitar. Although I'm not a great player, I have 25 other guitars with which to compare this one. That's not to brag, but I'm old :) and kind of a guitar nerd. The neck is fast and has a satin finish. I like the pickup tones and find the "focus" switch to be effective on the element. The top instrument in my current collection is the Revstar Standard with P90's. This guitar comes in as a close second to that one.

Revstar was highly recommended by my guitar teacher, who is a pro. I decided to purchase entry level RSE20. But, there are pro models, as well. Glad that I purchased this guitar. Does everything that I need at a relatively reasonable price.
Such a great guitar!!

I got this because a favorite artist of mine also uses a Revstar (Steady Holiday) and after doing a ton of research I determined that this would be a great first electric guitar. I haven't been proven wrong!
How do they do it?

Having worked at GC for 6 or so years, it was always known that Yamahas QControl was an industry standard. Monitors, Live Audio, Keystations, even their entry level acoustics like the F335…just impossible to find a guitar at that price point that rivaled that quality consistently. This Revstar is NO different; I've at least 10 guitars and this has not left my hands since it arrived. Perfect intonation, excellent set up, and the specs are out of this world for the money. Plus it's balance is world class (no neck dipping) and unplugged it is astonishingly loud…always the sign of a great guitar off the bat. buy this.

What case would work with this guitar?
For your Yamaha Revstar Element RSE20 in Swift Blue, the best-fitting case is the Yamaha GCRSX Revstar Rectangular Hardshell Case. Unfortunately ,we don’t currently stock it. However a Special Order may be possible. Please call us 855-770-3373submitted2 years ago

How much does it weight and how thin is the neck?
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This will be approximately 8.5 – 9.0 lbs........... Number of Frets 22, Jumbo Scale Length 24.75" Nut Width 1.649"........Radius 12"submitted3 years ago

Fretboard radius, fret size (jumbo?), scale length, nut material? This info should be listed for all your products!
