        My partner is none too happy but I'm getting my 10th set, I have mainly Ludwigs and one Yamaaha with a 24", but I could not pass on these! I teach and have played 5000+ gigs, and have huge respect for Yamaha... I've read all the 5 star reviews and just know i won't be disappointed. Imperial white under lights will be fab! My Ludwig Questloves with a 16" bass were nice, a little quiet but these will rock our band, The Rockits!

        While the kit is compact, It plays like a big kit. I changed the heads to evans g2 and g1 reso. Fit the kick with Emad.totally satisfied. Used for outdoor venue last weekend received positive feedback.

        This is a great sounding more portable kit, which easily fits on a small cart. With the Yamaha HW-3 Crosstown hardware, it is extremely easy to load in and load out.

        This is a very good drum set for jazz and bebop playing. It definitely is not a drum set for any heavy playing (Metal, Rock, Punk). If you are looking for a drum set that can handle heavy playing I recommend the normal stage custom. p.s it doesnt say im a verified buyer because i bought it in store.

        If you are looking for an affordable drum set for jazz or funk, this is it. If you are looking for a rock kit this isnt it. I give it 4 stars because of the lack of versatility. The bass drum is much to small for any heavy playing. If you want to play rock, just buy the normal stage custom or buy this then get a bigger bass drum. Other than that, it plays amazing for jazz, bebop and funk. Would recommend!!! ps i do recommend to get moongel to muffle the toms, or just buy new heads. the stock heads are kinda fussy.

        The heads that come with it are only available in white, but you can purchase black heads separately and add them to the set when you get it.
