I've been playing electric guitar for years but this was my first venture in the land of acoustics. Did quite a bit of research and Yamaha kept coming up as one of the best "bang for your buck" brands. I particularly liked the "onboard" acoustics feature with the TransAcoustic.

Granted, I'm one of those perpetual beginner guitar players, but of all the acoustic guitars I've owned in the last 30 years, this one is by far the best in sound quality (without the electronics) and the reverb and chorus features blew me away. The fit, finish and weight are all superb, I would recommend this guitar for anyone.

  • Hard on the fingers!

The sound is nice. The reverb and chorus is a nice addition to the sound. The fit and finish is very very good! Now the bad, this guitar neck is too narrow for most anyone unless you have super small hands. The pressure to push down the strings will have your fingertips hurting in no time. I did change out the strings to 10s instead of the 11s it comes with but it did not help. I am returning this guitar after only one day. Just to hard on the hands..

  • I haven't put it down since I bought it.

I have been playing acoustics for quite a while. After a friend told me about this model. I ordered it and loved the sound. Yamaha has always been one of my favorites.

It gives an extra dimensions and depth to my picking and strumming. It is a significant sound enhancement to an already great sound. My listeners notice and appreciate the enhancements.

Yes. A regular strap will do. It requires a string put through the strap hole and then tied to the neck, below the head stock.
