The Zildjian A Series 21" Sweet Ride is a beautiful ride cymbal with colorful medium overtones, perfect for drummers across genres. Cast from Zildjian's secret alloy formula and finished using centuries-old processes, the A Zildjian Sweet Ride produces a balanced, musical tone with a mix of sustain and shimmer. Played by world-renowned drummers, A Zildjian cymbals are the gold standard of cymbal quality and sound. The A Zildjian Series 21" Sweet Ride cymbal upholds that standard.

Versatile, All-Purpose Ride

Equally at home in jazz, rock, funk and pop settings, the 21" Sweet Ride offers a balanced, all-purpose sound with a mix of sustain, shimmer and wash. Its medium weight and traditional wide groove hammering produce colorful overtones with a musical, balanced tone. The 21" size provides enough volume and projection for live shows while maintaining a balanced, controlled sound.

Cast Bronze for Optimal Tone

The 21" Sweet Ride is cast from Zildjian's proprietary bronze alloy of 80 percent copper and 20 percent tin, which gives Zildjian cymbals their distinctive sound. The casting process allows impurities and air bubbles to escape, resulting in an optimally dense, musical alloy. After casting, the 21" Sweet Ride is lathed and traditionally wide-groove hammered, which brings out shimmering overtones and a balanced, controlled sustain.

SWEET!!!!

After 3 years of searching for the perfect ride i have found it! After 3 years of breaking it in it sounds amazing. With age this cymbal just gets better! The stick definition is well defined and articulate with just the right amount of "ping" and "wash" to the cymbal. Makes a very LOUD crash cymbal good for rolls and such. The dome is a bit small for my taste but it gets the job done. Playing towards the dome but not on it is a different ride more of a drier sound making it very versatile! Spend the money on this ride because its worth every penny!!!!!!!!

Not Sweet enough for me!

A little too much wash for my venue. I like a good "pingy" ride, which this does have, but, this ride is a little light for my tastes. Does have a nice deep crash. Nice ride to have as a second, but if you don't like the wash, look for something heavier.

This is an excellent cymbal. I have some vintage cymbals and this cymbal keeps up without a hitch. Beautiful pitch, wash and the bell. Such a great cymbal. I'm most certainly glad that I purchased this. Now to give it a go in various types of music!

If you want a ride cymbal that is not too dark, washy enough to crash a ride with good stick definition, then try out the 21in A Sweet Ride. Good for all styles of drumming. #sweepstakes

Has held up 4 years now. Nice round and boxy bell better than an A medium. Stick definition not as good as an A medium. But it doesn't take as much effort to get some volume out of this one. Which is a plus and minus.. plus: doesn't sound like you're playing on a piece of marble or granite like some heavy rides. Minus: To much sustain/wash for my taste, especially for playing jazz and progressive rock with articulation. Put a moon gel on the opposite side I play on, and seems to remedy the situation, and make the sound perfect. Downside gotta make sure the moon gel doesn't get lost if giging.

This 21" sweet ride was to bought to replace my forty five year old Zildjian 20" medium ride that handled years of playing gigs. I cannot say enough about Zildjian quality. This new 21" sweet ride sounds amazing!!
