I tried the K Constantinople light ride and found it too low. Beautiful, but too low for my immediate needs. The K light ride seemed like the next best choice to gain some brightness and it was spot on. Guitar Center had the best price and shipped it in two days. I'm very happy with my new Ride.
A beautiful cymbal

This cymbal is extremely high quality. It's got quite a unique, vintage, washy sound which can take some getting used to, but it definitely adds a subtle vibe to the mix. I play psychedelic rock and this thing sounds gorgeous with heavy, powerful sections, or light jazzy rhythms. If you're looking for a dark, relatively washy cymbal with long sustain, go for it! I found that it complements my Zildjian Sweet Ride very well. As a side-note, be aware that the cymbal will have some brown marks of oxidation (rust), but this is a natural part of the manufacturing process and they actually try to preserve as many of these as possible - it adds to the unique sound of your cymbal. I actually returned this cymbal before calling zildjian and finding out this was the case.
Outstanding!

Save your pennies and get this cymbal. I generally prefer dry rides, but the wash on this thin 24 is so sweet...with nylon tips it cuts thru nicely and with wood tips it's totally organic and smooth. A masterpiece of a cymbal.

Beautiful cymbal. One of Zildjian's best in recent years. This cymbal has a "woody" stick attack with lots of smokey wash underneath. The bell is clear and cuts through anything. You can watch the edges wobble as the cymbal works it's magic, and could play anything from Coltrane to Dave Matthews on it. A top level cymbal, it's worth the price. Once you get an instrument of this quality, you'll never settle for anything less.

This ride is incredible. Its just the right amount of wash, and it has a singing bell. it is also very dynamic. You can play light jazz on it, and switch right to a harder rock song where you may need to crash on it. its crash is as loud as my 19" Z custom Thrash Ride. Overall, this cymbal is amazing, and worth every penny you spent on it. It can be used for anything. BUY IT.
