EVANS

collapse expand iconDescription

EVANS 300 Snare Side clear heads feature a single ply of 3-mil film and are designed to provide a wide dynamic range and controlled snare response at all levels. The 300 series is the best-selling of EVANS snare side heads. Evans Level 360 technology is incorporated to extend the level playing surface of the drum head, 360 degrees around the drum. The vertically enhanced collar design guarantees even contact with the critical bearing edge of the drum shell, resulting in ease of tuning, extended pitch range and optimum quality of sound. EVANS Level 360 technology resolves the age-old dilemma of traditional synthetic heads consistently not fitting the drum shell without using considerable force.

amazing head

This head is absolutely perfect for my snare drum. I can play very soft, and it will keep the same sound and response as if i were rocking out, but the volume is just "turned down". Unlike many resonant snare heads, it's more durable and lasts a long time, even under high-tension tuning. The snares don't damage the head, even if they are pulled very tightly. I don't know of another head that works quite like this one.

Head is to thin. Very hard to tune

Like I stated. Wanted the 500 but no one had and this at least is functional

I was looking for a hazy snare side head due to warmer tonal qualities however, this Evans 300 snare side sounds quite good.

I bought a cheaper drum kit, and I've been replacing drumheads. This one seems better than the original, but I would say the batter Side made a much bigger difference.
